What is Tumeanza?
Tumeanza is Swahili for “we have begun”. It is Cabana’s launch season, from 28 October to 30 November 2026: Africa’s zero-commission travel app is live, and every new member’s first booking comes with a surprise on us.
What do I get on my first booking?
A surprise from Cabana. After you pay for your first stay, tour, event or car hire, you choose one: lunch, a fuel top-up, a shopping top-up or cash back to M-Pesa. It is sent to your phone on the day your booking starts.
Who can get it?
Any Cabana member whose first booking of a stay, tour, event or car hire is made and paid during the launch season. One per member. If the booking is cancelled before it starts, the surprise is too, and your next first booking can unlock it again.
Is it really free to list on Cabana?
Yes. There is no sign-up fee, no monthly subscription and no commission on your price, for as long as you list. Cabana’s small booking fee is paid by the guest, on top, inside the one all-in price they see. You are paid exactly what you set.
Do hosts and operators pay Cabana commission?
No. Hosts, tour operators, event organisers and car hire operators keep 100% of the price they set. That is why we ask everyone to list their best, fairest price: guests compare, and the fairest price is booked first.
How do I pay?
With M-Pesa, mobile money, card or bank transfer. Every price on Cabana is all-in: the price you see is the price you pay, with nothing added at checkout.
When does the launch season end?
At midnight, Nairobi time, on 30 November 2026. Bookings made and paid before then count, even if the stay itself is later.
